We built Betty because we were tired of Big Tech selling our shopping data. Here's what makes us different:
What We Never Do
- Sell your data — Your browsing history is never sold to advertisers or third parties
- Require an account — No email, name, or personal info needed. You're an anonymous user
- Track non-shopping sites — We only see visits to whitelisted e-commerce sites
- Create a profile tied to you — Without account creation, there's no way to link data back to your identity

How It Works
Install & Backfill
When you install the extension, it looks at your existing browser history for product pages on supported retailers. This gives Betty a head start understanding your preferences.
Extract Products
For each product page, Betty extracts the product name, brand, price, and description. We only care about what products you looked at, not who you are.
Build Your Taste Profile
Products are converted into mathematical vectors (embeddings) that capture their essence. Your recent browsing becomes a "taste vector" — a unique fingerprint of your preferences.
Daily Drops
Every day at 6 PM, Betty reveals personalized deals on products similar to what you've browsed. These are products that are currently on sale and match your taste.
What Data We Collect
Product Page URLs
URLs of product pages you visit on supported retailers. Not search pages, not account pages — only products.
Product Details
Name, brand, price, category, and description of products. This is public information on the webpage.
Timezone
Your timezone so we can deliver drops at 6 PM your local time. That's it.
What We Don't Collect
No Account = No Identity
Here's the key: we don't require account creation. You get a random session ID when you install the extension. We literally cannot tie your shopping preferences back to you as a person because we don't know who you are.
Even if someone got our database, all they'd see is "Anonymous User #48291 likes sneakers and electronics" — with no way to connect that to a real person.
